Who We Are

The Anita, Amado Batac and Dr. Dante Batac Foundation is established to honor the memory of Amado and Anita Batac and their son, Dr. Dante Batac. Amado and Anita Batac were both educators and Dr. Dante Batac was an orthopedic surgeon.

Being devoted to education Dante completed his Orthopedic Fellowship. He has compassion and heart to cure and serve anyone that walks in his clinic regardless of their ability to pay. To Dr. Dante Batac, a sincere thank you was good enough. At times poor patients would bring or send him fruits, vegetables and live stock. It would not also be unusual for patients to get the treatment they need and then receive samples from him. Dr. Dante Batac volunteered his services to the people with special needs and disabilities for years.

Anita Geraldez Montino Batac was an elementary school teacher. She was strict and a disciplinarian and true teacher. She devoted 34 years of her life to teaching.

Amado Bongcayao Batac, came from a poor family. He lost his mother at a very young age so much so that his older sisters took care of him and raised him. One constant thing he said in his life was his family and school. He was both a Filipino and American Veteran and he devoted his life to teaching for 34 years. He taught at Bicol Trade School (now Bicol University College of Industrial Trade). He later became the Officer in Charge of the Bicol University Trade and Engineering School in its infancy. His passion was to make sure that all the students who have the desire to study pursue their studies.

Mr. and Mrs. Batac and Dr. Batac, were endowed with strong work ethic, dedication, determination, devotion to education, community & family. This foundation is their legacy.
